Performances

The following are all performances that Sarah Talbot participated in various organisations whether they be Choral, Orchestral or Musical.

2025

  • “Elgar ‘The Dream of Gerontius’” (Brisbane Chorale, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra, Canticum Chamber Choir) – Chorister (2nd Soprano, Main Chorus). Performed at Brisbane City Hall. Conducted by Emily Cox. Guest soloists: Bradley Daley, Milijana Nikolic, David Wakeham.
  • 4MBS Classic FM Gilbert & Spectacular (Brisbane Chorale, Ensemble Q, UQ singers, Queensland Musical Theatre) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Performed at Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane. Conducted by Paul Dean. Guest soloists: Mirusia, Jason Barry-Smith, Jessica Low, Billy Bourchier and Matthew Broadbent.
  • “Liszt VIA CRICIS, Verdi TE DEUM” (Brisbane Chorale) – Chorister (1st & 2nd Soprano). Performed at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane. Conducted by Emily Cox AM. Accompanist and Main organist: Christopher Wrench.

2024

  • “Into Paradise” (Brisbane Chorale, St Andrew’s Sinfonia, Christopher Wrench) – Chorister (1st & 2nd Soprano). Performed at Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane. Conducted by Emily Cox AM.
  • The University of Queensland School of Music presents “Mozart: Requiem” (Brisbane Chorale, UQ School of Arts, UQ Symphony Orchestra, various secondary schools) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Performed reformed at The Queensland Performing Arts Complex Concert Hall, Brisbane. Conducted by Dane Lam.
  • 4MBS Classic FM Choral Spectacular (Brisbane Chorale, Queensland Choir, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra) – Chorister (1st & 2nd Soprano). Performed at the Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane. Conducted by Emily Cox & Kevin Power. Guest soloist Mirusia. Compered by Matthew Welch.

2023

  • Silver Memories & 4MBS Classic FM “Christmas Spectacular” (Mirusia, Athol Guy, Michael Christiano, Brisbane Chorale, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Performed at the Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane . Conducted by Stefanie Smith
  • 4MBS Classic FM “A Joyful Noise” (Brisbane Chorale, John Coulton Brass Ensemble, Jason Barry-Smith) – Chorister (1st & 2nd Soprano). Performance at the Brisbane City Hall, Brisbane. Repertoire included; O Clap Your Hands (Ralph Vaughan Williams), Wana Baraka (Shaun Kirchener), The Holy City (Stephen Adams), Shenandoah (Traditional A Capella), Five Mystical Songs (Ralph Vaughan Williams), Gloria (John Rutter). Conducted by Emily Cox and Chloe Han.
  • Britten’s “War Requiem” (Brisbane Chorale, Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra, Canticum Choir, Voices of Birralee) – Chorister (2nd Soprano). Performance at Queensland Performing Arts Complex. Conducted by Simon Hewitt.
  • “Bach to the Mendelssohns” (Brisbane Chorale, St Anthony’s Symphonia) – Chorister (1st & 2nd Soprano). Performance at St Johns Cathedral, Brisbane. Conducted by Emily Cox AM. Repertoire includes “Jesu Joy, Man’s Desiring (Bach), Magnificat (Bach), Psalm 42 (Felix Mendelssohn), Oratorio (Fanny Hansel née Mendelssohn)
  • Karl Jenkins “Requiem” (Brisbane Chorale, Distinguished Concerts International New York) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Live performance at Carnegie Hall, New York City. Conducted by Jonathan Griffith.

  • “Mahler Symphony 3” (Queensland Youth Symphony, Brisbane Chorale Womens Choir) – Chorister (2nd & 1st Soprano). Performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), Brisbane. Conducted by Simon Hewitt.
  • Funeral service of Patricia and Donald Talbot – Soloist. Live performance, streamed online at Burstows Funerals. The Lord is My Shepherd Psalm 23 Theme from The Vicar of Dibley (Howard Goodall),
  • “Opera Gala” Chorale Series (Brisbane Chorale, Queensland Symphony Orchestra) – Chorister (2nd & 1st Soprano). Performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), Brisbane. Conducted by Dame Lam. Reportoire included; Hymn to the Sun – Iris (Mascagni), Humming Chorus – Madam Butterfly (Puccini), Santus – Messa da Requiem (Verdi), Triumphal March – Aida (Verdi), Easter Hymn – Cavalleria Rusticana (Mascagni). 2 performances.

  • “Soulful Journeys” Maestro Series (Canticum Chamber Choir, Queensland Symphony Orchestra) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Performance at the Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), Brisbane. Conducted by Daniel Blendulf. Performing Debussy’s “Nocturnes”.

  • “Deep Field: Earth Choir” (Eric Whitacre’s Virtual Choir 5) – Chorister (1st Soprano). Recorded performance in London, contributed to Eric Whitacre for the production of the Virtual Choir, as part of the “Deep Field: The Impossible Magnitude of our Universe Suite”. Conducted by Eric Whitacre. Broadcasted by NASA, Kennedy Space Centre. Released on YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes.

  • “The Best of British” (Queensland Pops Orchestra) – Chorister (1st Soprano) representing Toowoomba Choral Society. Performance at Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), and Toowoomba Empire Theatre (3 performances in total).

2015

  • “A Celtic Gathering” (Queensland Pops Orchestra) – Chorister (1st Soprano) representing Toowoomba Choral Society. Performances at Queensland Performing Arts Complex (QPAC), and Toowoomba Empire Theatre (3 performances in total).
  • “Feel the Spirit” Concert – Chorister (High 1st Soprano), presenting the “Feel the Spirit” and “Requiem” suites by John Rutter. A combined performance of the Toowoomba Choral Society and the Toowoomba Philharmonic Society choirs at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Toowoomba.
